TERMS and CONDITIONS for Great Barrier Reef Liveaboards
Thank you for considering Great Barrier Reef Liveaboards for your underwater adventure. Before booking your dream excursion, please take a moment to review our terms and conditions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
1. Agency Disclaimer:
- Great Barrier Reef Liveaboards acts solely as an agent and assumes no responsibility for the operators or tours advertised on our platform.
2. Cancellation Policy:
- Please acquaint yourself with the cancellation policies outlined in the ‘Read Policies’ section at the bottom of each tour information page.
- Cancellation fees vary depending on the proximity to the departure date.
- 20% cancellation fee for cancellations made 30 days or more before departure.
- There is a 50% cancellation fee for cancellations made within 30 days before departure.
- 100% cancellation fee for cancellations made within 14 days before departure.
- No refunds will be issued for failure to arrive at the scheduled tour departure time.
3. Itinerary and Pricing
- Itineraries, locations, and prices are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather conditions.
4. Travel insurance
- We strongly recommend that all passengers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, evacuation, and medical expenses. Please review your insurance policy carefully to ensure it provides adequate coverage for all activities.
5. Flying and scuba diving
- For the safety of our guests, we advise waiting a minimum of 18–24 hours after scuba diving before flying or travelling to altitude.
- All tours involving scuba diving activities and flying utilise low-flying aircraft, allowing for safe flying after scuba diving.
6. Scuba Diver Verification:
- Certified divers must provide proof of their certification level.
- In the event of lost or missing licences, Great Barrier Reef Liveaboards can assist in verifying diver ratings. Please contact us in advance of your travel date for assistance.
7. Scuba Diving Requirements:
- Age and medical restrictions apply to all scuba activities.
- The minimum age for certified scuba divers is ten years old, while the minimum for resort scuba diving is 12.
- All participants must complete a medical declaration form before engaging in water activities.
- Certain medical conditions or medications may prevent participation in scuba diving activities. Please consult your tour booking agent for guidance if you have a pre-existing condition or are taking medication incompatible with scuba diving.
