Voyage Into The Heart Of Australia’s Coral Sea

Cairns liveaboards offer unforgettable diving experiences to scuba divers looking for off-the-beaten-track experiences. The first two tours on this page are suitable for advanced scuba divers only, providing unforgettable diving excursions to some of the most remote and idyllic parts of the Great Barrier Reef and the Coral Sea.

The following tours are suitable for all levels of scuba divers – from new divers to those highly experienced. Take a look through seven-day coral sea scuba diving tours to find the one that suits you.

7-Day Coral Sea Tours for Experienced Scuba Divers

What’s the Difference Between these Liveaboard Scuba Dive Tours?

Both Cairns liveaboard tours listed here cater to advanced scuba divers looking for the ultimate Great Barrier Reef dive experience.

They voyage to some of the most exclusive dive sites in the world and offer similar itineraries. As each tour is seven days and nights in duration, your choice between the two liveaboards is often dictated by your travel plans, the day of the week that you wish to depart and the given availability on the vessel for the dates you wish to travel.

We recommend that you contact our helpful team to check availability for the dates you wish to travel

These tours cater to experienced divers. We recommend either an Advanced Diver certification or a minimum of ten ocean dives, including five dives in the last twelve months, for people considering these trips.

As neither tour offers a fully guided dive option, inexperienced divers may be restricted from going on every dive due to environmental and weather conditions. This is wholly at the discretion of the Dive Supervisor on the tour.

7-Day Coral Sea Scuba Diving Tours Suitable for All

What’s the Difference Between these Liveaboard Scuba Dive Tours?

Both the ‘Top Deck Club’ and ‘Stateroom’ liveaboard tours above are scuba diving excursions suitable to all levels of divers – from the very experienced to complete beginners. They are both tours onboard the famous Great Barrier Reef liveaboard boat, ‘Reef Encounter’, which has been operating out of Cairns for over 30 years.

This tour visits a range spectacular outer Great Barrier Reefs just north of Cairns. As it doesn’t venture as far as the other liveaboards listed first on this page, tours depart and return daily via a fast transfer boat. This means you may start and end your liveaboard tour on the days which suit your travel plans best.

Catering to all levels of scuba divers, these tours have the option to take all, some or none of your scuba dives with an experienced crew member as your dive guide. Nitrox is available onboard, as well as scuba courses in a range of different advanced certifications.

Top Deck Club tours are this liveaboards version of ‘first-class,’ with luxury extras such as private dining, private in-water guided scuba dives from your very own, assigned crew member guide, and the best cabins onboard. Click here for more on the Top Deck Club.

Stateroom liveaboard tours provide standard hotel-style accommodation and amenities, with ocean view, en-suite cabins. Click here for more on Stateroom inclusions.
