S.S. Yongala Dive, 2 Night Liveaboard Tour

The SS Yongala dive shipwreck is a scuba divers dream. It’s a bucket list trip that no-one should miss. The ‘S.S. Yongala Dive – 2 Night Liveaboard Tour’ stays exclusively at the world-famous shipwreck site. You will thoroughly explore this spectacular piece of Great Barrier Reef history.

During a cyclone in 1911, the SS Yongala shipwreck sank off the coast of Townsville. All 122 souls on board were lost. It wasn’t until 1958 that this archeological location was first scuba dived on and explored. Because of this and the remote location, it remains pristine and mostly untouched – inhabited only by a vast abundance of sea life who have claimed the dive wreck as their own.

Rated as one of the Top Ten Best Wreck Dives in the World
