Lovingly crafted in Launceston from Tasmanian hardwood, this 97-foot ketch has beautiful timber features, generous deck to work on your suntan.
New Horizon holds 32 guests in her generous air-conditioned cabins and even has a movie theatre area for those wanting a quiet evening.
Basic sailing tuition is readily available with the friendly crew who will show you the ropes and even let you have a go at the wheel!

Sample Menu:
Day 1:
Lunch: Selection of cold meats, salads, homemade pesto pasta salad, tuna and sweet corn salad, a selection of cheese and crackers and fresh-baked crusty rolls and wraps.
Dinner: Oven-baked fish served with herb and lemon dressing on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes alongside homemade crunchy coleslaw, fresh Aussie Damper and crusty bread rolls.
Snacks: Aussie hot dogs with cheddar cheese and onions as well as chips & dip and a selection of cheeses.
Day 2:
Breakfast: A selection of bread and spreads such as honey, vegemite and peanut butter. Toasted muesli & cornflakes. Fresh fruit platters and tea and coffee.
Lunch: A variety of cold cut meats, salads, cheese and crackers and fresh-baked crusty rolls and wraps.
Dinner: spaghetti bolognese, fresh salad and garlic bread.
Snacks: Aussie hot dogs with cheddar cheese and onions as well as chips & dip and a selection of cheeses.

Only bring a small soft overnight bag without any zippers (i.e. a reusable shopping bag).
A souvenir bag is available for purchase at the boat’s check-in office for a few dollars.
Ensure you pack clothes, a hat, swim-wear, beach towel, sunscreen, warm pullover for evenings (seasonal), waterproof jacket, walking shoes or sandals and cash/card for onboard purchases.
Storage for your other bags is available at the check-in office for a small fee.
Feel free to bring on board a reusable water bottle and additional snacks.

Aboard New Horizon, we endeavour to show you the best of the best in the Whitsundays.
Visit Blue Pearl Bay on Hayman Island is known for its array of corals, resident Napoleon Maori Wrasse and friendly Bat Fish.
Snorkel Luncheon Bay off Hook Island and enjoy the delights at Bali Hai one of the Whitsundays most popular snorkelling locations.
Over 1500 different species of tropical fish and if you are lucky you may even spot turtles, dolphins and between July to September, Humpback Whales.
Sample Itinerary:
First day:
Departing Coral Sea Marina at approximately 2:00 pm, the boat is headed for Nara Inlet on the Southside of Hook Island.
Once arriving at Hook Island, there will get plenty of time to enjoy the waters, jump off the boat or use the water slide, paddleboards.
Sit back and relax and enjoy a delicious bbq dinner
After dinner, there are night activities like dolphin and shark watching and getting to know your fellow passengers and crew.
Second day:
After an early full continental breakfast, at Whitehaven Beach, you will drop anchor and hike up to the spectacular lookout overlooking the Hill Inlet.
After exploring the breathtaking outlook and the unique silica sand beach, you will return to the boat for a calm and relaxing sail to your next snorkel destination.
During this trip, you will be served a delicious fresh lunch including a selection of cold meats, pesto pasta salad, and cheese and crackers, fresh baked rolls and wraps.
Next everyone gets the opportunity to go snorkelling at the beautiful reef and enjoy plenty of time for paddleboards and water activities.
Animal diversity and beauty make this one of the greatest highlights of the trip and creates a unique experience for most guests.
Dinner is next as we set sail for the Langford Island this is always a great time to relax and take in the sunset.
Third day:
Delicious and breakfast and then everyone in for a final snorkelling session.
Langford Island offers a different soft coral reef and sizeable tidal sand bar.
New to Langford island is the 300-metre scenic walking track that leads to a small island lookout.
All of this in a morning of adventures, before lifting anchor and returning to the beautiful Abell Point Marina around 11:30 am.

Itinerary
First Day on your Whitsundays 2 Day Tour:
Departing Coral Sea Marina at approximately 2:00 pm, the boat will set sail for Nara Inlet on the Southside of Hook Island. Upon arrival, there will get plenty of time to enjoy the waters. Snorkelling, Diving, Watersliding, Paddleboards, or even jumping off the side of the boat! Following your day’s activities, you will be able to sit back and relax and enjoy a delicious bbq dinner under the stars. Wake up to another delicious breakfast and then jump in the ocean for one final snorkelling session. Langford Island offers a different soft coral reef and sizeable tidal sand bar. New to Langford island is the 300-metre scenic walking track that leads to a small island lookout.
Finally, it is time to lift the anchor and return to Airlie Beach by approximately 11:30 am.
As a result of being dependent on weather conditions for the operation of this Sail and Dive Adventure, the itinerary is completely flexible to ensure that you are Snorkelling and Diving in optimal conditions. For this reason, the itinerary can be scheduled slightly different from trip to trip.

How to get there
Where do I need to meet?
First and foremost, there is a pre-departure check-in at the Whitsunday sailing Office at 402 Shute Harbour Road, Airlie Beach. Check-in the day before departure is required between 7 am – 5 pm.
In case of a delayed arrival into Airlie Beach, if you are not able to complete the pre-departure check-in, please advise at the time of booking.

What else do I need to know?
As a result of being dependent on weather conditions for the operation of this Sail and Dive Adventure, the itinerary is completely flexible to ensure that you are Snorkelling and Diving in optimal conditions. For this reason, the itinerary can be scheduled slightly different from trip to trip.
Since we travel to some remote areas around the Islands, this can sometimes limit the available cell service. At times there will be little to no service, however, the Captain will advise you of the areas when you will be back in range.
In order to better prepare for your arrival, please advise of any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Please note that a surcharge may apply.
The operation of this sailing trip can be affected by weather conditions. For this reason, travel Insurance is highly recommended.
We have a passion for showing you Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and National Parks, so please make sure you understand the SCUBA diving laws. The Queensland Government Code of Practice regulates us and comply with all rules, including medical as is the law. Please complete our dive medical questionnaire before booking as some medical conditions, age, and medications may prevent scuba diving. Or you may like to consult your Doctor for a Dive Medical using the Australian Standard Forms’ AS.4005.1

Flying and Scuba Diving
After a single no decompression scuba dive, you should not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive. For multiple scuba dives, you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive. This includes Skydiving and Hot Air Ballooning.
We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible.
Public Holiday Surcharge
Please note – there is a PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGE of $40 per person applicable,
payable at check in. If a public holiday occurs during one of the days that a trip
has departed, then the surcharge applies.
