Rated as One of the Top Ten Best Wreck Dives in the World! Don’t miss your chance to dive into the SS Yongala 3 Night Liveaboard Dive Tour.

This tour first visits a variety of some of the best scuba dive sites of the central Great Barrier Reef region. Enjoy world-class diving before finishing off your liveaboard tour with a trip to this famous, historical wreck.

Explore the SS Yongala’s historic underwater heritage.

This tour departs once a month from Townsville. Best suited to advanced scuba divers.

Discover the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef

This liveaboard takes in 2 full days of diving on a variety of outer Great Barrier Reef dive sites. Reefs visited include Lodestone Reef, Keeper Reef, Broadhurst Reef, Davies Reef, and Wheeler Reef. The conclusion of the trip is a visit to the historical SS Yongala Wreck, where you will complete two exploration dives.

Sites chosen will be at the skipper’s discretion and will depend on the weather. Day 3 includes two dives at one of the top 10 wreck dive locations in the world – the SS Yongala dive shipwreck, sunk over a century ago during a cyclone in 1911. This wreck is now home to an incredible array of marine life and coral.

This tour can be profoundly affected by the weather.

We are happy to help you with any questions you may have.   Please contact our office on 07 4037 2700 or email us at [email protected]

Flying after Scuba Diving

For a single no decompression scuba dive, you should not fly or go to altitude for at least 18 hours after a scuba dive.  For multiple dives, you should not fly for 24 hours after your last dive.  If Skydiving or Hot Air Ballooning you must wait 24 hours after your dive.  We recommend waiting a minimum of 24 hours whenever possible
